As the owner of The Barbershop, that same sense of curiosity and adventure shapes the culture she's built—always learning, always improving, and always looking for ways to provide a better experience for clients.

It's a standard she holds her entire team to—always learning, always growing, and always striving to give clients their best experience. For 30 years, Carla Mills has dedicated herself to the art of barbering and, most importantly, to the people who sit in her chair.
A proud Michigan City native, Carla spent the last 24 years of her career at Mid-Town Barbers in Michigan City, building lasting relationships with generations of clients and becoming a familiar and trusted face in the community.
Now, she's bringing that experience, passion, and commitment to The Barbershop.
Meet Laurie
SHARP LINES, WARM WELCOME
Laurie is excited to continue working alongside Carla at The Barbershop, where the two previously worked together at Mid-Town Barbers. She specializes in modern, trend-driven cuts, including skin fades and tapers, as well as precise beard line-ups. Traditional straight razor services are also available for a clean, classic finish.
Whether clients stop by as walk-ins or book ahead, Laurie is happy to make room for them in her chair. Every visit is approached with care and attention to detail, so each client leaves looking and feeling their best. She looks forward to welcoming new and returning faces and taking care of all their grooming needs.
